Privacy policy

This policy covers the NEXICAPTURE desktop app and the nexicapture.online website.

## The app
- Recordings and projects stay on your PC. NEXICAPTURE does not upload them.
- No accounts and no usage statistics. The app does not send analytics or usage counts.
- Online only when you choose. The app connects to the internet to download optional AI models (from Hugging Face) when you first use a tool that needs one, and when you use a cloud tool (Google Gemini, OpenAI or ElevenLabs) with your own API key. In that case the audio, text or image the tool needs is sent to that company under its own privacy terms.
- API keys you enter are stored on your PC, encrypted with Windows protection, and sent only to the company they belong to.
- Problem reports are saved as a file on your PC. Nothing is sent unless you send the file to us yourself. The report removes API keys and your Windows user name.
- Diagnostics: the app keeps a log file and crash dumps on your PC (in %APPDATA%\NEXICAPTURE). They are not uploaded.

## This website
- Contact form: we store your name, e-mail address, message and the time you sent it, to answer you. We also store a one-way hash of your IP address to limit spam; we cannot recover the address from it. Messages are kept until they are no longer needed to support you.
- Cookies: the public site sets no tracking or advertising cookies. A session cookie is used only on the contact page (to protect the form from abuse) and in the admin area.
- Downloads are served from this website; our hosting provider keeps standard server logs.
- We do not sell or share your information.

## Your rights
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the messages you sent us through the contact page.

## Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes too.
